Renowned designer of Pakistan, Maria.B, has signed an MOU with Child Protection & Welfare Bureau Lahore on Tuesday 3rd November 2020 for three social responsibility projects over one year.
Maria B. Cares- a remarkable social initiative by the designer will be inducting 12 interns of CPWB at its factory for one-year vocational training alongside sponsoring an IT Lab for their Faisalabad School and furniture for its Rahim Yar Khan School. The one-year training includes skills like stitching, embroidery, and dying. They will also be provided with a monthly stipend for added support.
Maria expressed her delight in serving the CPWB and considered it an honor. The designer says, “The special initiative not only aims to assist CPWB and motivate these individuals to be productive citizens of society but also help the dying craft, as they will receive training in Aari Embroidery that is a dying Pakistani craft with very few professional craftsmen available. This kind of skillset will prove to be quite lucrative for these trainees in the future.”
Speaking on this occasion Sarah Ahmed; Chairman CPWB thanked Maria B. for responding to their most urgent needs consistently.
Maria. B. Cares has always worked towards giving back to Pakistan in the form of sponsoring various deserving initiatives and organizations through Maria.B Cares banner while bringing honor to Pakistan internationally through its exquisite product line.
