He’s back, in a better-than-ever and bigger-than-ever way! After days of building up anticipation and excitement, the wait is finally over as Atif Aslam’s just dropped the music video for his latest single, Moonrise, released under Tarish Music.

Keeping his streak alive of partnering up with renowned actresses and familiar faces, Atif paired up British actress and model Amy Jackson for Moonrise, sending his fans all over the world into a frenzy after the announcement. The music video was first teased with a poster and a brief teaser clip, hinting at the glitzy vibe of the music video, and the Punjabi lyrics of the song.

The music video, directed by Adnan Qazi, evokes luxury and splendor in all aspects and shows Atif bringing the nightlife alive, while Amy adds her cosmic glam to the mix. The singer is seen headed to a party in a dapper look where he meets Amy and there’s an instant connection. The two are seen sharing countless glances with each other, dancing merrily, squeezing in subtle moments of romance, and quite literally having the time of their lives in a club setting. While most of the singer’s videos have to do with outdoorsy, natural settings, this video marks his entry into a grander setting that oozes luxe vibes, and the adaptation is truly seamless.

“I wanted to represent Atif & Amy in a very different light that is relatable to the audiences today. People are in for a treat with this music video, it’s very retro but very futuristic at the same time,” said the director about his vision for the music video. The track is composed of Punjabi lyrics against catchy EDM beats and hints of acoustic strums, narrating his muse’s beauty and otherworldly charm in Atif’s signature style that exudes romance, and demonstrates the high level of skill the singer holds over the language.

Moonrise is produced by Tarun Chaudhary and Omer Ahmad, with music and lyrics by Punjabi singer and songwriter Raj Ranjodh, making this Atif’s second collaboration with the team after Rafta Rafta starring Sajal Aly.
