Singing sensation Ali Sethi will perform Faiz’s beloved ghazal ‘Gulon Mein Rang’ on the next episode of Coke Studio. According to sources, Sethi’s performance is a highlight of this season, which also marks the return of producer Rohail Hyatt. Sethi, who recently delivered hit ballads like ‘Ranjish Hi Sahi’ and his original track ‘Chandni Raat’, is increasingly credited with re-introducing ghazals to the young generation of South Asians. ‘Gulon Mein Rang’ was originally sung by the legend Mehdi Hasan in the 1960s. Since then it has been covered by famous singers such as Jagjit Singh, Hariharan, and Arijit Singh for the movie ‘Haider.’
